PULLMAN, Wash. – Redshirt junior Que Johnson has been granted his release from the Washington State University men’s basketball program and will transfer, head coach Ernie Kent announced Tuesday.

“We appreciate all that Que has done for the Washington State basketball program over the last three years, including my first two at WSU,” Kent said. “We are glad that he is on track to leave here with his degree from Washington State and we wish him well, both on and off the court.”

A native of Pontiac, Mich., Johnson averaged 9.0 points per game over this three-year career, having started 42 of the 93 games he appeared in. This season, Johnson shot .404 (42-for-104) from 3-point range, ranking 11th-best in the Pac-12. He ranks 16th in WSU’s career record books with 121 made 3-pointers. He is on track to graduate this spring with a social sciences degree.
